Since 1980, John has developed millions of square feet in office and industrial space across various states, including Tennessee, North Carolina, and Nevada.  His duties include strategic planning, development, lease and contractor negotiations, budgeting, and financing. His most recent development is a 130 room Marriott Moxy hotel with 47 apartments in Nashville, Tennessee.

For many years John performed extensive Wills and Estate Planning for the many different clients and represents numerous real estate companies.  John W. Nelley, Jr. practices law with his daughter, Rachel C. Nelley. John has been an Attorney since 1973.

Certified Public Accountant

For 15 years, John was active in Income Tax and Estate Planning and Real Estate.  Represented many leading Nashville real estate development companies. John W. Nelley, Jr. has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1971.

The Moxy Hotel has 130 rooms. 20th and Belcourt also includes 47 apartments, a 200-car garage and ground-floor retail along 20th Avenue. The project opened Decemeber 2019
